Legos, Vows, and a Sprinkle

Afton had her very first field trip last week. The Kindergarten classes loaded up and headed to Lego Land at Grapevine Mills Mall. Afton's teacher wrote the Kindergarten curriculum for Lego Land when it opened, so she knew all the fun things to do and see. I came along to help :)

Teamwork: How to Build a Strong Base
Knocking down buildings on the Earthquake Table
Building a car, will it survive the track?
No it did not!
4-D Movie- we got wet when it 'rained' in the movie!
And as if that wasn't enough, later she went rock climbing at a  friend's birthday party. Lucky girl!

On Friday, Debbie and Danny renewed their vows. Afterwards we had dinner together to celebrate.

And on Saturday, we opened our home for a little 'sprinkle' to honor Jenn. She is expecting her second daughter next month!

I co-hosted the 'sprinkle' with Jessie. Happily, she shares my love of Pinterest and party planning :)  And I have to say, Jessie was truly the hostess with the mostess for this event! She baked little mixed berry pies in mason jars and made a fabulous assortment of fingers foods.

Lots of girly details.

Pretty drinks...sparkling pink lemonade and pink champagne.

And of course, there were yummy sweets too! Macaroons, powdered donuts with edible hydrangeas, and dark chocolate cupcakes. Debbie made a  a beautiful 4-tiered pastel layered cake.

I hung the infamous 'coffee filter' wreath back up on the fireplace. Coordinating paper bunting and personalized onesies adorned the mantle.

Jenn was so thrilled with the shower. And we are so excited to welcome another sweet girl to the family. Jessie-I loved hosting the sprinkle with you!!

We have had so much fun hosting three parties over the last month. It has been a good excuse to get everyone together :)
