Spray Ground

It is hot. Really hot. Thank goodness for the new "spray grounds" in Grapevine.

I love these pictures-- 'slow motion splashing'.

Maisy was a little unsure at first.

But then she decided to give the park a try.

Next time I am wearing my swim suit and getting in on the fun too :)

Fourth of July 2012

For the third year in a row, we headed to Southlake Town Square on July 3rd for fireworks. We got there early and enjoyed some crafts, games and dinner.

The girls also took in 'the big slide'. Maisy has gotten as brave as Afton!

We finished the holiday with swimming and a cook-out at Grammy's.

Happy Fourth of July!

DFW Tourists

I am kind of shocked that it is already July. The past month has flown by and the girls have kept me on my toes. We have managed to have something planned almost every day. For the first time ever, Maisy even fell asleep at the dinner table. Must be all the fun! :)

First there was VBS. I was a guide for Afton's group this year. It was fun to be with her for all the games, crafts and activities. Maisy went to a little class too. She had a good time (and except for biting a classmate, she did well!)

Next, the girls embarked on swim lessons. It was a first for Maisy and after a few days of crying, she was happy to go.

In between, we dressed-up and had our own tea party, made a trip down to Dallas Market, visited the library many times, played at Jump for Fun with Becka, watched fireworks at the lake, worked in the yard, ate ice cream,  practiced gymnastics and did a lot of swimming.

We even went roller skating! Did you know a 2 year old can roller skate? Click on this video to see for your self :)

Or if you cant' see it, go to you tube by clicking here: http://youtu.be/Ja0fPBBfc2M

On Sunday, we played tourist in Fort Worth. We started with a trip to the FW Watergardens. The girls thought it was amazing.

I kept reminding everyone to be careful. There were lots of steep stairs and I was afraid they would fall in! They listened very well....

Except for Jeff!

Then we ventured on to the FW Science museum to lay on a bed of nails,

and experience 70 mph hurricane winds,

and look at a few creepy, crawly bugs.

 Summer sure is swinging along!
