Fathers Day

We celebrated 'Dad' at Grandpa's house this year. We are so lucky to have Dad, Grandpa, Grandanny, Gramps, Papa and lots of uncles setting a great example of what it means to be a father.

Dads rock!

VBS 2014

This the day that The Lord has made

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Another great year of VBS. The girls loved being with their church friends all week. And I got to be crafty-- making cross leis with 500 kids!

This is the day that The Lord has made!

Sunday in Fort Worth

Sunday started out rainy and gloomy, so after we went to church we decided a movie was our only option for the day. We headed to FW to catch 'Dolphins' at the Omni/IMAX Theater. By the time we got there, the skies had cleared and the sun was shining. So we had lunch at Dutch's by TCU and walked around campus.

(The Thinker)

We posed with the horned frog.

And played by Frog Fountain.

Then we went to the movie.

Happy Sunday.

The End of Second Grade

seriously think this girl grew at least 3 inches this year. And beyond physical, she has blossomed intellectually. Her teacher said, 'out of everyone- I am most proud of Afton'. Between her writing, math and her uber polite manners-- Afton is an ideal student. And don't think I am biased because I am her mom :) we have a report card to prove it!

Afton helped me make this bag for her teacher. Get ready- this generation is all about 'iPads' and technology.

For the last day of school, In-N-Out brought their food truck and served burgers. The kids had a picnic and celebrated an awesome year.

After school, we went to a local water park with boys and girls from her second grade class. It was the perfect way to kick off Summer!

Woohoo for summer!!

Maisy's 3 Year Old Class

Maisy's first year in preschool was a success. I was nervous in the beginning, but after that first drop-off back in September all my worries disappeared. We couldn't have asked for better teachers or classmates.

First Day of 3s Preschool

Last day of 3's Preschool
Over the course of the year, she learned so much and made so many good friends. I am most proud of her drawing and writing skills. She went from refusing to color, draw or do much 'table work' to being a kid who stays up in bed at night drawing and writing stories. It has been so fun to watch her develop and grow. She is already looking forward to next year!
