Hello Third Grade

Hello Third Grade!

This was the least 'anxious' school morning she has ever had. Must be because this is our fourth year at our sweet school. Or because this kid is so awesome!

Love her and can't wait to see what adventures she has this year.

MP Cheer 2014

Cheer is back-- and this time Maisy is officially on the squad! We kicked off the season with cheer camp where the girls learned new dances and cheers.

Then the girls got to cheer at Cowboys Stadium! Afton did this a few years ago, when she was getting ready to start Kindergarten. Now Maisy got a chance to tour the DCC locker room and cheer on the field too!

Maisy was impressed with the DCC poses and tried one herself :) She thought cheering in cowgirl boots was something she wanted to try soon!

This is Afton's 4th year with MP Cheer. It is neat to see how much she has improved. She recruited her good friend Landry to the squad this year. I love how much they enjoy cheering together!

It's going to be a great season!

Family Reunion in Austin

Our school starts back on August 25th. So we are enjoying every last minute. Over the weekend, we spent a few days in Austin with my inlaws. They rented a super cool house on Lake Travis you can click here to see more info and professional photos of the property.

The house sleeps a ton of people and comes complete with pool, horses, a playground, a playhouse, a theater, and even a gym! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the weekend.

View from the kitchen
So many windows-- the Lake looked amazing from up here.

One of the balconies- we sat out here with coffee in the mornings

This is the playhouse! It is completely air-conditioned and has a working fridge/freezer.

And horses too!
The 'infinity pool' overlooking the Lake.

Jeff' sisters-- they both have two kiddos as well. Lots of cousins to play with!

My new niece, baby Marlowe!
The water level at Lake Travis has dropped, but the house has an 'elevator' and stairs so you can still get out to the Lake. We rented jet skis one day and spent a lot of time down here!

My SIL and niece!

One of our days in Austin was spent at the Redwine Natural Pool. My father-in-law is friends with the owner :) You may remember (click here) we swam in this pool last summer too- it is still just as awesome!

It was a great weekend with Mimi and Grandanny!
