Cotillion #3 and More Dance!

Another weekend, another chance to dress-up! Friday night was Cotillion #3. The theme was Disco. Afton had Chloe and Katie over before the dance to eat pizza and get ready.

Since Afton was off at her fancy party, Miss Maisy asked to attend Open Gym at her gymnastics studio and she tumbled from 7:30-9:30pm! She was worn out the next day!

On Saturday, Afton's dance team went to the MA Dance Competition. They won some awards and but most importantly Afton had a really good time. All the grandparents (including Grandpa & Grandma- not picutred) came out to cheer on Afton.

On Sunday, we got up and walked to the donut shop. If you want to motivate your kids, just use donuts! We went grocery shopping, hung around the house, and went to Confirmation. That night, Jeff grilled out burgers and Landry slept-over.

Monday was a school holiday- yay! We took the girls to lunch in Fort Worth at The Great Outdoors, then played in the Water Gardens. Afterwards, we went 'ski trip' shopping.

I am ready for Spring Break!

Valentines Day 2018

Valentine's fell on a Wednesday this year. I decorated the girls doors again with daily 'love notes' on construction paper hearts. And on the 14th, they awoke to a bouquet of balloons, a Valentine's outfit, and chocolate. Plus I made them coupon books- good for treats from me!

A week before, the girls made their Valentine's boxes. Afton made an RV (just for fun- because she wouldn't need it at school.) And Maisy wanted an Ipod!

Maisy got all dressed up for her big party. I got to go and see all the fun. The Valentine exchange, the treats, the silliness.

This was Maisy's Valentine to her teachers! It's Flu Season ya'll!

There was no 'middle school' celebration for Valentine's Day. But I did get to co-host a treat bar for the Middle School teachers! Lol. Sorry kids!

The middle school kids bought 'candy grams' for each other. Afton was excited to get three. And a boy in her grade gave her a BIG box of chocolates with a card that said 'will you go out with me'. Um NOOOOO. She declined. (But ate some of the chocolates).

That night, Jeff ordered us Heart Shaped Pizzas from Papa Johns and got us Bundt Cakes. He is the best.

Happy Valentines!

More Dress-Up (For everyone!)

Maisy was feeling extra patriotic this year and was so excited to dress-up for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. She is the cutest kid.

That we watched the Opening Ceremony while eating pizza at her favorite restaurant, Grimaldi's.

Then we came home and Maisy got to try out her 'bunny bonding bag'. Ha!

Afton was off to Cotillion to again, this time the theme was "Western".

The fun continued the next night, Jeff took me out for an early Valentine's Date with our friends. We went to Fixe in Fort Worth. It is fancy 'comfort-food'. Yum!

We ended the weekend with a trip to the Dallas Boat Show. Jeff has wanted a boat for years and it looks like it might be time. He officially has rented a dry storage unit. Now all we need is the boat!
