Ski Idaho 2020

We left on Saturday, March 7th for our Idaho ski trip. The great thing about going to Idaho for Spring Break is that really no one else goes there. And we love that! We landed mid-afternoon and drove to McCall. It snowed for most of the drive. It was so beautiful! We made a quick trip to the grocery store and then unpacked. We had dinner at one of our favorite places - Toll Station Pizza.

Our first day on the slopes- Maisy and I each had our own private lessons all day. Jeff has dreams that I will be a good skier one day. (Not happening) But Maisy is very methodical and calm. She improves every year. And Afton is out-skiing Jeff now. Youth!

Our second day was filled with lots of snow and some pretty chilly temps. We worked down some powdery blues as a family. Maisy and I even did a few new runs on the backside of the mountain. She is a good ski partner for me ðŸ’•. Jeff and Afton continue to be fast & adventurous! Powder, off trails, and steep runs- they are great to ski buddies. The Porters arrived this afternoon. Excited to continue this Spring Break trip with both our friends & our family!

Rise and glide! The sun was shining all day. Made for the most beautiful day of skiing. We did lots of family runs, played in the snow, and went out for a fancy ‘adults only’ dinner ðŸ˜‰. Good times!

Up to snow good with these kids! ⛄️ They skied the front & back of the mountain today. I can’t keep up with them! Good thing The other adults- and Afton- can!! Today’s #skiapres included sledding and the making of a miniature snowman. We stayed in for dinner- yummy pasta paired with family games.

Thursday was our last day on the slopes. ðŸŒž We skied all day & then went out for one last pizza dinner in McCall. It was a good ending to a great week.

Friday we got up early to catch our flight..... which has been delayed & delayed. So we are playing tourists in Boise. Shopping, eating, and taking a college tour. Annnnnnd, we just found out that Spring Break will continue for another 2 weeks due to COVID-19. Maybe we can just stay here???!

On Saturday, everyone decided they wanted to cut off all their hair. Both girls lost about 8 inches and Coco at least 3 inches! (The girls look cute with any hair, but I am hoping they grow it back out fast. I love their long locks!!)
