How do we feel about an entire week off school? Like this... The girls spent their entire vacation laughing, giggling and playing.
We went ice skating and shopping with Grammy at the Galleria. It was pretty magical. (Although Maisy swore that she pulled both hamstrings while skating. Lol)
That night, we celebrated Grandpa's birthday. Uno, a birthday banner, spaghetti and cookie cake. What more could you ask for?!
The night before Thanksgiving, Jeff set up an outdoor movie theater. We ate pizza and watched the "Grinch".
Afton led us in making an army of Hershey Kiss turkeys. And then both girls made a 'thankful turkey' by tracing their hands.
On Thanksgiving Day, we went to Mimi's house and played with cousins. The weather was perfect!
On Friday, we got up bright and early to drive to Oklahoma.
It was our first trip to see Becka's new baby, Kennedy.
Both Becka's girls are so cute! After our visit, we stayed at the Skirvin Hotel in OKC. It was old and fancy. The girls didn't know this-- but it is supposedly haunted!
Saturday morning, we got up and toured the city. OKC is really a pretty and clean city. We were pleasantly surprised by the parks, people, and museums.
The Oklahoma City Memorial and Museum was so moving. So beautiful and so sad.
We came back to the hotel for a quick swim.
Then we went out for pizza and to see the Christmas lights. We walked everywhere while we stayed in the city. It was fun to see the city on foot.
And the trip would have been rated an A+++++++, but Afton started throwing up about an hour after this picture was taken. Note to self: always bring clorox wipes when traveling. Luckily, it only lasted about 24 hours. :) :)
