IHOP Passed Away

IHOP passed away in his hutch on Saturday, June 12th. He was 7 years old.

IHOP was a gentle, sweet rabbit. We adopted him when he was three. He was a surprise Christmas gift for Maisy. Jeff worked in secret for weeks prior to Christmas building him a hutch - which we jokingly referred to as IHOP’s mansion. I will never forget the delight and tears of joy from Maisy when we revealed the big surprise that morning. She couldn’t believe we got her a pet rabbit!
Over the years IHOP enjoyed being a ‘local celebrity. He visited our elementary school and served as the neighborhood Easter Bunny. He was often seen going on walks in his rabbit stroller or riding in his ‘bunny bonding bag’. His appearance at the Class Holiday party in third grade led to a slew of requests from classmates asking their parents ‘to buy them a rabbit-like IHOP’.
IHOP was such a sweet rabbit that we adopted two more bunnies through FFA. IHOP loved the new gals and was happy to serve as the ‘unofficial mayor’ of the Conner Bunny Ranch.
He formed a special bond with Snowball and they had one baby bunny together.
IHOP will be missed by his family - both human and animal. He is lovingly laid to rest in our backyard. We are thankful for the time we had with him and the joy he brought to our family.
