So we had no power. We ended up going 60 hours without power. We had water, we had hot water, and we had our fireplace. But no heat or electricity. Jeff and I stayed home, the worry that a pipe might burst was real. Our pool froze over. We had to just 'watch & wait' for warmer weather.

Valentines' s Weekend 2021 (AKA The White Valentines...)
Valentines weekend started off pretty uneventful. The meteorologists were calling for a chance of snow (in Texas?? yeah right!) and record low temps.

Sporty Spice
Afton's love of sports continues. Her Club Volleyball team took first place in the Silver Bracket at a recent tournament. It's fun to win!
YAGP 2021- First Year
Maisy competed for the first time in January. She performed a solo - a variation from Act 1 of Swan Lake. She has worked for months on this piece and she was amazing!!
GHS Volleyball Banquet- Freshman Year
We celebrated a season that most thought would never happen. It took half the season for Afton to find her place on this team. Watch out GHS VB... Afton is coming back stronger next year!
Father Daughter Dance 2021
The show must go on- even with COVID restrictions! So Jeff and Maisy went to a smaller version of the Daddy Daughter Dance. And even though it 'looked different' they had a lot of fun!
Hey Ya'll it's 2021
We kicked off the New Year with sunshine and great weather. So I took the girls down to Fort Worth one day for a 'college tour' of TCU.
NYE 2020- Hello 2021
2020 was a hard year for so many people. But we when we reflected on the year, we saw the 'good' definitely outweighed 'the bad'. Sure there were disappointments about things that didn't happen as we planned. But so many wonderful things that we never could have imagined happened. We loved having Jeff home more. Our family shared a lot of great times together- doing school at home, getting Rocky, biking/playing in our neighborhood, cooking for each other, traveling, and just slowing down. 2020 was a good year.
Christmas Part 2- Grammy Comes to Town 2020
We celebrated Christmas with Jeff's family a few days after Dec. 25th. It worked out better with everyone's schedules and my mom arrived in town the same day, so she got to join in on the fun too.

Christmas Day 2020
Even though they are 'getting bigger', the girls still woke up early to see what Santa brought them :)
Grandpa and Grandma came over for breakfast- we love this tradition!
