Maisy competed at the DC Grand Prix with her company. Earlier in the week she experienced a sudden onset of foot pain. She did her best to work through and placed top 12 with Awakening of Flora. The pain kept her from performing her second solo due to the ‘back to back’ solo schedule. Luckily she was able to rest for several hours and then perform 3 more dances with her company. It was quite the day!
To be safe we went to a podiatrist after the weekend wrapped up. Turns out the pain was caused by a stress fracture. 3 weeks on a boot! (This appointment happened to be on the same day she got braces.)
She is continuing to stretch and attend classes.
