We took the girls to New Orleans for Thanksgiving- it was the perfect road trip.
Here is our trip, in no particular order...
A carriage ride, complete with ghost stories.
Fancy Thanksgiving Dinner at Sobu.
Twinning with Maisy. She is the sweetest kid.
Rocky loved traveling, but it also made him nervous. Every homeless person and tourist in the city wanted to stop and talk to him. It's hard to be so popular in a new town.
Pizza and beer in the French Quarter is a must. (Lemonade for the girls of course.)
I got to continue my annual tradition of running on Thanksgiving. This Turkey Day Trot was extra special because I haven't run a road-race since we were in Washington, DC.
We took the girls to a Pelican's game.
It was the girls' first time to see professional basketball and the Pelican's won!
We sat on the water and watched the boats come in. One was from Hong Kong!
You can't go to New Orleans without a trip to Cafe DuMonde.
We watched several street performers, very entertaining.
The infamous Bourbon Street... not too bad during the day. But we walked pretty quickly!
We learned that Voodoo is not really 'black magic'. It is actually related to Catholicism.
A break from ballet, but not from stretching!
Dinner at Superior's.
A trip to Oak Alley Plantation.
Swung by the LSU campus- hey ZTA ladies!
Seafood Dinner - another Louisiana must. A trip to Avery Island- the birthplace of Tabasco.
We got home just in time to decorate for Christmas before heading back to school & work on Monday.
