The End of Middle School

Well, three years flew by for Afton. I can't believe she is on to high school in the fall. Since the school year ended 'weird', most of the 'goodbyes' and celebrations were done virtually or from a distance.

The 8th Grade banquet turned into a 2-hour WebX, hosted by the principal. A small group of Afton's friends gathered together to watch it outside 'together'.

The 8th Grade awards were emailed out. Afton was awarded the "Leader of the Pack Award" which is given to only 20 kids out of 300. It is voted on by the teachers- and is a big honor. She also was given the Athletics Awards for Basketball and the Wolf Award for Academics in Science. This kid!

The year wrapped up with the 8th Grade Clap-Out. The staff and families from our school filled the parking lot and clapped and cheered on our 8th-grade kids. It made me cry so hard! These three years have been really good for Afton. I am so proud of her and the lady she has become.
