We are still at home! Tomorrow begins "Week 6 of Learning from Home". WOW!
If you would have told me we would be 'homeschooling' for six weeks.... well you know what I would have said. NO. WAY.
But here we are. And for the most part, it's all good. We have our routine and we are plugging along. On Friday we found out that school will officially 'continue from home' for the remainder of the year. There will be no returning to learn on campus. The girls took it in their stride. It's kind of hard to wrap your mind around it.
Maisy is really missing playing with friends. Afton is bummed that she won't be back at CTMS - ever. And all those cool things they plan for the 8th graders (the trip to Burger's Lake, Wolf Fest, the Wolf Awards, the 8th Grade Banquet) they are all canceled. It's a bummer to miss out on the fun things.
So we've been doing our best to have fun around here, while keeping up with several hours of online learning.
Maisy is dancing 6 hours a week. She is diligent with her schoolwork and likes to FaceTime her friends. All of her pets keep her company too :)
Learning about the Earth's tilt/rotation and shadows for science class |
We redecorated Afton's bedroom and cleaned out her insanely messy closet. Afton has enjoyed extra time for crafting, playing sports in the front yard, and running.
Another day, another birthday parade! |
I am keeping busy helping with school work, working out, and cutting Jeff's hair. I am doing some part-time work for my Dallas Market job and have started selling medical PPE part-time too. These are some crazy times!
Jeff is missing his travel schedule- he likes to be on the move. But luckily work has been very busy- the new COVID-19 antibody test is good for business and will hopefully help the world get ahead of the virus. It's exciting to see how quickly it was created and launched.
Coco is the happiest she has have ever been- with all the walks and loving companions.
And our funny bunnies are getting fat!
We are all happy, healthy, and God is good!
