Each year, our elementary school does a poster contest for "Red Ribbon Week". Maisy worked very hard on her poster this year. She was determined to win! The theme for her school was "Lego of Bad Choices".
She was thrilled to find out she won for the 4th grade. And then we found out that not only did her poster win for the 4th grade at her school. But she won 1st place for 4th grade- in the entire district! We have 11 elementary schools in our district, that's a big win!
She was recognized at the November School Board Meeting along with the other winners for the other grades. Afton and I had NCL, so Jeff took her to a special dinner (Whataburger as she requested) and then to the meeting. Afterward, they got ice cream to celebrate. We are so proud of her!
