Soccer Season - For Afton

Afton stepped outside her comfort zone and took on soccer this year. In our area, 12 is 'really late' to start a sport. Luckily Afton is our sporty spice, so she did pretty well. And the best part, she had lots of fun.

Back Home & Mother's Day 2018

The girls had so much fun while we were gone, I was afraid they wouldn't want us to come back! My mom did an amazing job keeping them happy.

Right after we got off the plane, it was time for Afton's Dance Banquet. Her dance team was such a great way to do 6th grade. She made friends, performed at games/pep rallies, and improved her dance skills. I am thankful for the team!

 After her banquet, we took her to Group Dynamix for the Cheer Lock-In.

And we took Maisy to Grimaldi's for dinner! 

Saturday was all about ballet. Maisy had her beautiful spring recital.

We finished the weekend with ... a Mother's Day Celebration at Mimi's! 

So happy to be home with our girls!!!!!!

Ambassador's Club in Mexico! 2018

Jeff won the Ambassador's Club trip ... for the 5th time! We flew to Cancun and drove to Mayan Riveria, near Playa del Carmen. Our resort, the Banyan Tree in Mayakoba was amazing!

Day 1- We arrived a little after lunch time and checked in. Each couple got a villa, complete with our own pool and a pair of bikes! We biked to the beach and went swimming. That night was the 'welcome dinner' on the rooftop patio.

Day 2- We woke up and went to the gym. Then we had a relaxing breakfast and headed down to the beach. The beach was transformed for our Ambassador Club winners. Lots of games, food, drinks and a pair of sunglasses for everyone!

Jeff's team won the annual Volleyball Tournament-again! 

I tried 'wind or kite surfing'-- but it was too windy! I needed a smaller kite otherwise I would have blown away! 

That night, we went into Playa del Carmen to get some souvenirs for the girls and pizza dinner for me! :)

Day 3- We woke up and went a long walk together. Then we took an excursion off the resort to go ride ATVs, Zip Line, and Swim in a Cave. Our phones stayed in a locker the entire day, but hopefully our group photos arrive soon so we can have photographic proof of our fun day. We were hot and covered in dirt/dust by the end of the day!

That night, part of the resort was transformed into a market. We shopped, ate and danced!

Day 4- I ran outside on the nature trail, it was so nice! Then we had breakfast and spent the day on the beach. Lots of walking, paddle boarding, reading and relaxing.

That night, we went back downtown- for pizza again! 

Day 5- I ran outside again, this time to the beach and the other hotels in the resort. Then we had breakfast together. Jeff left to golf all day while I got a mani/pedi and hung out on the beach. I also rode my bike to the cenote (sink hole turned cave!) and saw bats. Jeff met me on the beach after lunch and we swam, paddle boarded, and hung out. 

This bird 'worked' at the resort. It scares off the annoying birds :)

That night was the farewell dinner. We had dinner with his team on the patio. It was beautiful! 

And just like that, the trip was over! It was such a good 'time away' for us both. I will always look back on this trip as being the best. Thank you Jeff! We are proud of your hard work and the opportunities it has afforded our family.
