January 2017 Wrap-Up

It's the last day of January- and it has been a good month. Can't believe it went by so fast.

Afton (and Jeff) started a new sport-- basketball. The season is super short, only 8 games, so it has been fun.

We thought the Cowboys were going to make it to the Super Bowl, but no such luck.

The weather has been pretty nice. Lots of opportunities to be outside.

One Friday it was so warm, we walked from school to Sonic :)

Jeff and Maisy have had some adventures while Afton is deep in competition season for cheer. 

Jeff has been traveling again. He is a 'the go to guy' at work- I am so proud of him.

Maisy was treated to a day at the Rodeo and Stockshow by her friend Reese.

Jeff and I went to an 80's prom to celebrate Eric Wood's 40th birthday-- that's my friend Kim's prom dress!

 And Smarty Pants McGee was inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society. Go Afton!

It Snowed! Jan 6 2017

It snowed, it really snowed. (Well kind of...) But anyway- it was fun!

The flurries came down all Friday afternoon.

So the teachers let the kids go outside and catch snowflakes and play.

After school, the dusting was enough for a few snowball fights. 

Until everyone's hands were frozen. Then they came in for cookies and cocoa. 

And later that night-- Chinese food! January is off to a great start.

Hello 2017

We ran in the new year with a party.

 

 Then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the best January weather.

 

 This year we hope to continue traveling, spend more time outdoors, be kinder, make healthier choices, and live with a grateful heart.

Life is filled with Moments of Joy-- let us take the time to notice them.
