In our house, there is no doubt that my girls love their Daddy. He is helpful, fun, and a really good cook. So for Father's Day this year, the girls and I made Jeff a special photo. We also made a list of "100 Things that we Love about Daddy". He seemed pleased with his hand-made gifts.
After church, Grandpa and Grandma, Mimi and GranDanny, and the Porter family joined us for a Father's Day cook-out and some swimming. A good man might be hard to find, but not in this family!
We are thankful for all the great dads in our lives.
The girls had a blast swimming, eating and playing together.
And now we have a new little lady in our bunch. Sweet Emmie has joined the group! She is only 10 days old, but it won't be long before she joins in on the fun too. Congrats to Jenn, Jade, and big sister Analeigh!
Happy Father's Day!

Summer Fun & Dance Recital 2012
Summer is off to a great start. Our first week has been filled with new haircuts, lots of playing, a trip to the library, gardening and dancing.
Jeff built Afton and Maisy their own planter box, so together we planted sunflower, carrot, and cucumber seeds. It has been about a week and already we are seeing some sprouts.
Saturday was Afton's big dance recital. This is her second year dancing at Studio A. She has spent the year studying jazz and ballet, and her performance was a culmination of all she has learned.
I helped out backstage again- keeping the girls happy while they waited for their turn to dance, changing costumes, and taking lots of silly pictures.
Her favorite new dance style is jazz. She likes all the bouncing around and fast tempo. Her jazz routine was done to "Razzle Dazzle" from Chicago.

The ballet routine was done to "I Have a Dream" from Mama Mia.

Afton had lots of adoring fans (aka family) who cheered her on.
I loved our special time together. Can't wait to do it again next year- with both my little girls!!!
